Jai Shri Mataji, with the Divine Blessings of Shri Mataji, Sahaja Yoga in Bengaluru received a world record during the grand celebration of the international Day of Yoga and World Music Day at SIR M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology Campus, Yelahanka, Bengaluru on 21st June 2026.
The programme was organised jointly by The Life Eternal Trust Bengaluru in association with SIR M Visweswaraya Institute of Technology at Bangalore.
Shri B.S. Patil, Hon’ble Chief Justice, Karnataka Lokayukta have inaugurated the celebrations and mentioned that that long hours of sedentary work place tremendous strain on both the body and mind. “Yoga and meditation rejuvenate us daily. Sahaja Yoga, propounded by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, not only promotes physical health but also facilitates spiritual growth. Divinity resides within every individual; we only need to establish a connection with it,” he said. Emphasising the need for holistic wellness, Justice Patil added, “Whether we are students, teachers, judges or musicians, physical, mental and emotional health is vital to realise our full potential and achieve excellence in our respective fields.
Several hundreds of seekers took Self Realization at the event. Several organisational leaders who took part in this event had expressed their interest to collaborate with Sahaja Yoga for conducting meditation programs for their organisations.
A special flute ensemble performance by more than 100 artists from Gokulam School of Music along with other artists in praise of Indian Women Cricket team, which has received the world book of record.
The event also featured a special musical concert by noted artistes Ramya Vasishta, Celebrity Singer & former cultural ambassador for Govt of India. Karnataka Kalashri Shri H.S. Venugopal, Pandit Iman Das – vocalist and Dr. Jayant Kumar Das – renowned sitarist. Among those who present were environmentalist and Green Path founder H.R. Jayaram, Madhur Temle, Apoorva Manon from The World Book of Records, Vasantha Kavitha, doughter of former CM of Mysore, Dr. Bhaskaran, Prof Thippeswamy, Professor, Sir MVIT., Nikhil Gowda, the Founder and Managing Director of Scheme India Capital Fund, Usha Iyer, Founder-President of The Green School, Bengaluru, and B.H. Lokesh, founder of Vande Bharatham foundation.
